The customer and company experience
As a developer, it is important for you to understand the steps that the customer goes through when using the ComPilot KYB Widget.
When a customer starts a KYB process, the ComPilot KYB widget opens and it guides them through it. There are two key stages:
The customer is asked for details about the company, and to upload supporting documentation, such as a certificate of incorporation, or articles and memorandum of association.
The customer is asked to identify the individuals who are ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs) of the company, or who hold more than a certain percentage of shares in the company. The widget creates a KYC link for each individual. Each individual has to visit their link to go through a KYC process, similar to the one described in Customer experience.
