The customer and company experience

As a developer, it is important for you to understand the steps that the customer goes through when using the ComPilot KYB Widget.

When a customer starts a KYB process, the ComPilot KYB widget opens and it guides them through it. There are two key stages:

  • The customer is asked for details about the company, and to upload supporting documentation, such as a certificate of incorporation, or articles and memorandum of association.

  • The customer is asked to identify the individuals who are ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs) of the company, or who hold more than a certain percentage of shares in the company. The widget creates a KYC link for each individual. Each individual has to visit their link to go through a KYC process, similar to the one described in Customer experience.
